Historical charm, like a museum with medieval buildings, old-style furniture, and intimate atmosphere. Romantic package included prosecco, rose petals, and chocolates. Pool was lovely, but could use a sun shade. Delicious breakfast with plenty of selection. Enjoyed a great value dinner at the restaurant. Lovely staff.

Beautiful hotel magnificently restored with really interesting pieces of furniture and antiques. We were travelling from south of Spain into France and the hotel was a bit out of the way from our direction but it was a very pleasant diversion.

Very comfortable beds. Double spa bath. Decor very stylish. Public areas with antiques and beautiful pieces of furniture provide a very different experience from most 4# hotels. Dining room provides very good food at reasonable prices. Staff really helpful and service flexible, eg when we needed an early breakfast it was provided. Proximity to beach or mountain for leisure activities, also historic archaeological sites nearby. Parking no problem in hotel grounds or nearby in the village. Great for a group of friends as so many places to gather, including the lovely swimming pool.

Lighting in public areas not good at night as timers do not always switch them on. Wifi in rooms a bit erratic. No English language news channel on flat screen tv.

Spacious room with mountain views, comfortable bed, and well-equipped bathroom. Drinks included and good menu choice. Fantastic building with antique furniture and lovely dining room. Beautiful garden with pool. Friendly and helpful staff.

The location was stunning and excellent, we were around 4-6 minutes' walk from the heart of Torroella De Montgri.

the rooms were both pleasantly decorated, air-conditioned, complete with superb view as well as very modern bathrooms. location: the hotel was not far from the old palace right in the center of the town, next to town's church, the centre of torroella and beaches and historic towns.

Actually everything was perfect, my next choice again in Torroella De Montgri. The time I spent there was fairly nice. There was hot breakfasts with cheese and items such as orange juice. Enjoyed the king room I was given.

We absolutely loved our stay at this historic Spanish castle! The restaurant served delicious, value-for-money meals. The room was spacious and had a wonderful old-world charm. The terrace restaurant provided a lovely dining experience. The pool was refreshing and a perfect spot to relax. The breakfast had a great selection of tasty options. The staff were friendly and accommodating, adding to our overall enjoyment of the hotel.

The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a sun shade by the pool, especially during the hot weather. However, this didn't dampen our experience as we still had a fantastic time soaking up the sun.

The location was perfect for our needs, private car park, fascinating history, reception staff offered to refrigerate and freeze our food items.

The only negative I can mention was the bath surround which needed to be redone......not very inviting to use the spa bath as it is.

We had the double room provided with views out to the Pyrenees, old style furniture, for example. The service was EXCEPTIONAL, that made the hotel beautiful and fabulous place.

We had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel! The building itself is like a mini Spanish castle, full of historic character. It made us feel like we had stepped back in time and were royalty for a day. The spacious room and bathroom were beautifully designed, and we loved the stunning views of the mountains from our windows. The staff at the restaurant were incredibly friendly, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed the included drinks with our meal, which was a pleasant surprise! The location is perfect, allowing us easy access to both beaches and historic towns nearby. this place exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it.

Very atmospheric with a wonderful location and fantastic restaurant

It was good to have coffee and tea available to make yourself in a seating area but could have done with more cups and info on how to work the infernal coffee machine!
